ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs

Included because ElevenLabs has both an official local MCP provider for voice, audio, music, and agent workflows and an ElevenAgents host that connects conversational agents to approved external MCP tools.

Concrete capability record

Data, retrieval, actions, identity, and operating limits

A field-by-field summary of what the reviewed first-party references actually support. Publisher update dates and BYO-UI review dates are shown separately below.

01 · Records and state owned

Voices and models, generated speech and music, audio and transcripts, agents and phone resources, local output files or MCP resources, plus external MCP servers and their discovered tools in ElevenAgents.

02 · Data you can retrieve

Search account and shared voice libraries, list available models and account resources needed by production workflows, and let ElevenAgents discover external MCP tools and process the data those tools return.

03 · Actions and write paths

Generate, transcribe, transform and store media; create voices and agents; initiate supported agent actions; and, in ElevenAgents, invoke state-changing tools exposed by connected external MCP servers when approval settings allow.

04 · Authentication and permissions

The local provider requires an ElevenLabs API key. ElevenAgents connects to remote MCP servers by URL with optional secret token, request headers, or an auth connection; server-level and tool-level approval settings determine which discovered tools may run.

05 · Monitoring, approval, and recovery

Require explicit requests for credit-consuming generation and outbound actions, control where input and output media is stored, and use Always Ask or fine-grained approvals for external tools. Customers remain responsible for the security, compliance, and behavior of connected third-party servers.

06 · Limits and caveats

Provider calls can consume credits, some voice-design and audio-isolation operations may outlast inspector timeouts, and output defaults to local files unless resource mode is configured. ElevenAgents MCP is unavailable in Zero Retention Mode or for HIPAA requirements and is managed through the dashboard or SDK rather than the CLI.

MCP support

Official MCP server + 3rd Party MCP servicesOfficial local ElevenLabs provider MCP plus ElevenAgents MCP host/client integrationCurrent documented service

Support: Official MCP server + 3rd Party MCP services

Read scope: Search voices and list production resources through the local provider; discover and use approved read tools from connected external servers in ElevenAgents.

Write scope: Generate and transform media, create voices and agents, and invoke approved state-changing tools from connected external MCP servers.

Authentication: ElevenLabs API key for the local provider; optional secret token, headers, or auth connection for each remote server attached to ElevenAgents.

Approval boundary: Use Always Ask by default for external MCP tools; auto-approve only low-risk reads and require approval for media generation, outbound calls, external writes, or sensitive data access.

Protocol does not erase product boundaries.

Confirm the current tool catalog, plan, region, scopes, rate limits, terms, and write behavior before implementation.

What customers could create on top.

The output could be an export, report, graph, artifact, application, agent, workflow, or downstream feed. These proposals are derived from documented access—not claims that ElevenLabs ships them.
